Strange Doctrine

These excerpts come from a Mormon dating site.

Mormons believe that Eve should not be blamed as she had no understanding of right or wrong yet, and that her transgression was necessary so that humans could be. Because of Smith’s rejection of these ideas, the earliest Mormon doctrine was said to be women-friendly.

----

Recently, more people have been examining the occurrence of depression among Mormon women.

--This began to be discussed in the mid-70's--we baby boomers. I audited when we couln't pay for two tuitions. kmw

They fear death and their subsequent life after death.

Someone missed something along the way. Mormons fear separation from their families. As of the early 70's, there was no Doctrine among the Brethren regarding free movement of ressurtected Spirits between the three after Death States.

Jesus and other Honorable teachers and believing people inhabit the Middle World, and the Third Kingdom down is inhabited by a variety of sinners, teachers, helpers and was said to be very beautiful. Many religions make hell a place a loving God would never pen his children. Motmons don't wear black to funerals--pastels are popular.

The traditional roles of women in the home and marriage, as well as the church, have been blamed for any ocurrence of depression.

---And what about post partum depression, a medical biochemical reaction. The word any gives me trouble here, since there are many causes for and kinds of depression.
Clinical depression is serious, but few women have it. The blues are more common.

The attitudes of all men are sometimes problems for women.
In Mormonism, the Husband can be Excommunicated and women
can become very angry if these men are not dealt with. Their Church marriages are annulled, and the rest is left for the
Civil Courts. Like other Churchgoing Church officeholders, Bishops do not have the training to deal with familial abuse
competantly.

Polygamous women form a kind of bell curve, and some are miserable. No actors in this moral majority crusade--they're telling their truth. Many such marriages are happy. No one
will be sent to 'Hell' for failing to achieve perfection in
this life.

President Hinkley is a personal financial supporter of the late Joseph Cambel--a broader understanding of Comparative
Religion was encouraged when we were 12 or so. Since we
beleive that children are blameless before the age of accountabilliy--the earlier years are for helping children
to enjoy doing right and learning what it means.

Finally, there is Hell, this world. And those Cast into Outer Darkness--several. Patton is our Prophet here. War is Hell and those who return, many of many denominations come home haunted, demented--Hell is a garden place, a Hospital for those who desperatly needing healing.

When a friend of mine learned that her husband to be capable of abuse she put her 3, 4, and 5 year olds into a Karate class, and joined one herself.

That is also what we are like.

Someday I'll get back to editing this. I've not got much of a blood brain barrier and can't see much anymore. Loved that hubby--but without much of an immune system, I came out the loser. I can still write, but getting the drafts in sequential order is right up there with the fates of Tantalus, Sysyphus, Promethius--oh olay hookela--the best stuff is in the first entries.
I begin at the bottom.
